The Voice Of Germany (season 9)
The ninth season of the talent show '' The Voice of Germany'' premiered on September 12, 2019 on ProSieben and on September 15, 2019 on Sat.1. The coaches were the singer and songwriter Mark Forster returning for his third season, while songwriter and singer Rea Garvey, who last coached in the fifth season returned alongside new coaches, pop musician Alice Merton and rapper Sido, who replaced Michi & Smudo, Yvonne Catterfeld and Michael Patrick Kelly. For the first time in its history, the show featured a fifth coach, Nico Santos, who selected contestants to participate in ''The Voice: Comeback Stage by SEAT''. Meanwhile hosts Thore Schölermann returned for his eighth season and Lena Gercke returned for her fifth season. Thore Schölermann
Thore Schölermann (born 26 September 1984 in Iserlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German actor and television host. Career After graduation in 2004 he trained to be a professional actor at Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He then took part in a few short movies. He had lead roles in ''The Typewriter'', directed by FM Croissant in 2004, followed by '' Unscrewed 2'', directed by Florian Huber in 2005 and ''Butterfly Child'', directed by Daniel Schmidt in 2006 In 2006, Schölermann took the part of Christian Mann in the soap opera ''Verbotene Liebe''. After being cast in August, he first appeared on-screen on 27 November 2006. The role brought him international fame when Christian was paired with Oliver Sabel, played by Jo Weil. Christian and Olli became a phenomenon with fans all over the world. The couple was featured in many different stories together over the years, much to the producers fear of breaking up the couple. The second season of the German talent show '' The Voice Senior'' premiered on November 24, 2019 on Sat.1. The coaches were the duo Alec Völkel and Sascha Vollmer of the band The BossHoss, the singer and actress Yvonne Catterfeld, the singer Sasha Schmitz all returning for their second season and with the new coach singer Michael Patrick Kelly, replacing Mark Forster. Monika Smets was named the winner of the season on December 15, 2019; making her the first female winner, marking Sasha Schmitz's second win as a coach on ''The Voice Senior''.
